INTRODUCTION

Olympiacos who has the most titles in Greece must overcome one last obtascle as they welcome the visit of Burnley from England if they are to reach the group stage of the Europa League. The Greek side did not have much problem to beat Swiss Luzern in the previous round, while Burnley needed extra time in both their matches against Scottish Aberdeen and Turkish Basaksehir.



OLYMPIACOS PIRAEUS

Olympiacos will start this match as the slight favourites as they have far more experience playing in European competitions, mostly in the Champions League where they have been regular participants in the group stage for the last seven years now. That was also how long Olympiacos had dominated Greek football until they were dethorned from the top by AEK Athens. PAOK had also finished above them in the standings which is why Olympiacos even failed to reach the qualifications of the Champions League. Last season they only managed to win a point in the group stage of the Champions League so it is better for them to fully focus on winning the league once again then to compete in the Champions League. The club management made a complete change of the entire team and they also have a new manager in Portuguese coach Martins. In their previous two matches with Swiss side Luzern, they won by 4-0 and 3-1. They kept only two player's from last season's team.



BURNLEY

Burnley will be playing their seventh match so they will have more fitness compared to their Greek counterpart. Interestingly the team which is led by manager Dyche had failed to win all six matches in 90 minutes as they beat Aberdeen and Basaksehir in the Europa League only after extra time, while in the first two rounds of the Premier League they drew with Southampton and lost at home to Watford. Before facing Watford, they conceded just two goals. However last weekend, new signing goalkeeper Hart had conceded three goals when they lost to Watford at home. Now we could see Heaton start in goal for this match. Their first choice goalkeeper in Pope is still out of their first team due to injury, as well as the likes of midfielders Brady and Defour, so we can expect to see manager Dyche make some changes in this match.
