Lyon finished last season in 3rd place, 2 points behind Monaco but a huge 15 points off winners PSG. So far this very attacking side has retained the spine of it's team but with the European window still open they will do very well to keep them all. Star man Fekir who netted 18 times last season has been linked with a move away all summer and I would be shocked if he's still here when we enter September. Bruno Génésio's side finished last season with a form line of 4-0-1 winning the expected goals (xG) supremacy in 5/5 which is sensational. Going forward Lyon have finished with over 1.50 xG in 3/5 which is very good. At the back during this period they have conceded on average 0.73 xG which is very good. At home it's 5-0-0 in the last 5 Ligue 1 games winning the xG supremacy in 5/5 converting their dominance into wins. Les Gones have finished with over 1.50 xG for in 4/5 which is superb. Defensively, they have averaged 0.55 xG against which is sensational.



AMIENS

Amiens finished 13th last season following their promotion from Ligue 2. Once again their goal is to stay in the French top flight but the bookies make them favourites to go down. On Sunday they visit Lyon and it's going to be a tough start for them. Christophe Pélissier's side finished last season with a form line of 2-2-1 winning the expected goals (xG) supremacy in 2/5 which is ok. Les Licornes going forward finished with over 1.50 xG for in 1/5 which is poor. At the back during this period they have conceded on average 1.65 xG which is very poor.
