INTRODUCTION
This is the last match of the MLS for the 22nd round which will feature Los Angeles Galaxy who occupies second spot in the Western Conference, while Orlando is ninth in the Eastern Conference. They visitors have 14 points less then the host coming into this match. LA Galaxy are unbeaten in their last six games, which if we only look at the league would have been longer, while Orlando lost their last three matches. They have managed to win just once in their last ten games as well.
LOS ANGELES GALAXY
They are playing much better now after a poor start to their season and they are currently second in the Western Conference. They are behind Dallas in the standings, who are the last team to beat them but we must state here that that defeat took place at the end of May. Thus LA Galaxy is unbeaten in the last two months in the league but they were beaten by Portland in the Cup, where they have already been eliminated. They have an eight game unbeaten run in the league where they had managed four wins and four draws. After three consecutive wins, they could only managed a draw against city rivals FC Los Angeles which was a derby match. However as they had been behind in the game by two goals, they would accept the 2-2 draw as a fair result. After beating Philadelphia, Manager Schmid had made changes to the side but that didn't go according to plan so we can now expect to see changes in this match once again.
ORLANDO CITY
They are coming into this match in a big crisis and even a change of managers did not help their cause it can be said. At the start of July they brought in James O’Connor as their new manager, and it is interesting at one stage they even had six consecutive wins under them. Then no one would expect them to experience such a freefall as they are experiencing now and worse was the manner they are experiencing their defeats. After their good run they then experienced nine matches losing run. Three rounds ago that run was interrupted when Orlando beat Toronto by 2-1 but after that they lost their next two matches. First they were beaten by Columbus Crew by 3-2 and then in their last match they were beatn by New York City by 0-2 at home. As for the team news, they will not have the services of Stopper O’Neil as he was sent off towards the end of their last match. Despite striker Dwyer returning to the team in their last match they still failed to score. In their last match Giro and Johnson were brought into the side while now Tarek might play in the stopper's position, although we could see some other changes for this match.
