INTRODUCTION

Last season Celta Vigo was more successful then Levante in the La Liga. However, this season Levante started well at the start of the season continuing from where they ended last season. In the first round they won away to Real Betis, while Celta Vigo only managed a draw against Espanyol



LEVANTE

They started well and continued from where they finished last season as they hammered Real Betis away from home by three goals and kept a clean sheet in their first match. Since they were taken over by new new coach Paco Lopez. In the transfer window theys sold midfielder Lerma and brought Vukcevic and Simon into the side. That should have covered the void in midfield but none of them starte their first match as well as the other newcomers. Coach Lopez has instead chosen to rely on experience and they did not disappoint. Morales played well and scored two goals for the side. Now there is not likely to be any changes in the starting lineup lineup even though striker Boateng has recovered.



CELTA VIGO

Their start was nothing spectacular as they welcome the visit of Espanyol and it ended in a stalemate. It is the debut of their new coach new coach Mohamed, and unknown to many so it remains to be seen if he can bring them to big heights this season. They did lose several key players in the transfer window. They brought new players in the side so Araujo has started next to Cabrala at centre back considering that Roncaglia is out injured. They lost Jonny Castro at left back, so they started with Alonso at that position because Junca was out of action. Their only arrival in midfield was Beltran, while they did have newcomer Boufal coming into the side in the second half. Now we could see defensive midfielder Yokus starting this match as well as Boufal starting instead of Mendez. The good news is that striker Maxi Gomez has recovered and is available for selection. The players to watch here will be Sisto and Aspas.



PAST MEETINGS

Last season Celta Vigo beat Levante 4-2 in Vigo, while in Valencia where Levante plays as host, Celta Vigo has won the last five times of which four times by 1-0.
