INTRODUCTION

Leganes lost in their first match by 2-1, while Real Sociedad won by 2-1 away from home. Leganes were unlucky as they lost to Athletic Bilbao as they conceded deep into injury time. Now they will hope to do better against another team from Basque who had a very good start to their season. Real Sociedad managed to win despite playing away to Villarreal and the result will no doubt boost their confidence ahead of this match.



LEGANES

They started their season with a defeat, but they did not play badly just that luck was not on their side. It was not easy for them to play away against Athletic Bilbao and after they conceded the first goal, they have managed to equalied and that stayed until they conceded in the third minute of injury time when they conceded their second goal. In that way their new coach Pellegrino began with a defeat, which they could have avoided, amnd when it comes to their team, they were not at full strength, even though their starting lineup was more or less expected. Much has changed within the team for the new season. However many of their new playrs brought in did not start their first match. Juanfran was on the right back, and J.Silva who came from Sporting and he managed to scored their only goal. Carrillo started at the top of attack. Striker Rolan did not start as he was injured together with Szymanowski.



REAL SOCIEDAD

This is the second match in a row they are playing away and it should be a much easier match compared to their first match which they surprisingly won. Despite traditionally failing to beat Villarreal, but they managed to break the tradition and managed a 2-1 win. What is more amazing is that they were down by a goal and came back to win by 2-1. So in all it was a successful first match for new coach Garitano. He did not have all the players available to him so he did used some of their new signings in their match against Villarreal. They gave debuts to left-back T.Hernnadez in their starting lineup and it paid off. Other then that, Merino started in midfield, which was their biggest capture of the summer signings. Zurutuza came on as a substitute as he was not fully ready, together with Juanmi who scored their winning goal. Their first goal was scored by Willian Jose, who will start in the starting eleven, but they will miss the services of Januzaja due to injury.

Last season when they met both teams won at home in their mutual duels
