INTRODUCTION

No doubt this is a big derby match between Club Brugge and Anderlecht and both sides are still unbeaten after four matches played. While Anderlecht has made all four wins and occupy the top spot, while Club Brugge drew their last match and has two points less coming into this match.



CLUB BRUGGE

They started their title defence by winning their first three matches. They are good at home as they beat Eupen by 5-2 as well as Kortrijk at home by 3-0 in the third round. On their travels they beat Mouscron only by 1-0 and in their last match they drew with Antwerp by 1- 1. They did win a trophy before the start of the championships when they won the Super Cup by beating Standard Liege. In their last match against Antwerp they were leading by 1-0 when they conceded with six minutes left on the clock. At the beginning of the season Vossen and Wesley played well then Wesley got a red card against Mouscron and did not play in the matches after that. As for the team news, Wesley returns to the side after serving his suspension, while Rezaei who was brought in from Charleroi is now out injured.



RSC ANDERLECHT

They started their season really well with four wins from four matches played and they do not want to repeat what happened last season when they finished without a trophy. They failed to even finish second so there is no Champions League for them this season as well. They are in the Europa League but since the group stage is yet to start so now they will devote their thoughts to the championships. They scored 13 goals in their first four games which they have won them all. That also means they scored more then three goals per game on average. They made a lot of changes to their side and brought in a lot of good players in. Their new strike force is headed by striker Santini who has scored seven goals to his name. Then fellow striker Dimata has also scored five goals. The departure of Teodorczyk from their side is not felt in their game and they have only conceded goals in their first three games. In their last match they did kept a clean sheet. No doubt that the departure of center-back Spajic is somewhat felt in their game. As for the team news, Vranjes is out due to suspension, while Kums and Saief are out injured.



PAST MEETINGS

Last season they met a total of four times and Anderlecht won twice, which was in the playoffs for the Champions, while Club Brugge won by 5-0 in the normal part of the season.
