LEICESTER CITY

Claude Puel was expected to be the first manager that would leave his post in the Premier League at the start of this season so it may be something of an irony that the one defeat Leicester City have suffered has come at the hands of the new favourite in the 'Sack Race'. That loss at Old Trafford on the opening weekend of the season has been replaced by a couple of somewhat fortunate wins, but Leicester City will be very happy with the start made to the 2018/19 season. The Foxes come into the weekend in 7th place having beaten Wolves and Southampton in their last couple of games to build some momentum after losing at Manchester United. They play only their second League game at the King Power Stadium following the 2-0 win over Wolves a couple of weeks ago and Leicester City are hoping to improve their 7-6-6 record at home from last season. Leicester City crushed Fleetwood Town 4-0 in the League Cup Second Round during the week which means they have won 3 in a row in all competitions going into the weekend. They have won their last 3 at the King Power Stadium in all competitions and Leicester City have scored at least twice in each of those wins. Matt James is expected to miss out with an injury while Jamie Vardy will complete his domestic suspension.



LIVERPOOL

Jurgen Klopp refuses to get carried away with the start made by his Liverpool team as the expectation builds that they can end their 29 year wait for a League title. Wins in every League game played and keeping clean sheets in each of those wins will have built the confidence of the fans, but this is another test for the side to see exactly where they stand. Three games and three wins has seen Liverpool move to the top of the Premier League on goal difference over the likes of Tottenham Hotspur, Chelsea and Watford. The next month will tell us a lot about where Liverpool stand as a realistic title challenger, but they will head to the King Power Stadium as a big favourite to back up their win at Crystal Palace in the only other away League game they have played. Liverpool have won 4 of their last 5 games in all competitions with the exception coming in the Champions League Final against Real Madrid. While they finished with a respectable 9 away wins from 19 League games last season, Liverpool still have some questions to answer on their travels having won 2 of their last 6 in all competitions. The Reds have opened this season with a 0-2 win at Crystal Palace. Dejan Lovren is expected to return to the squad following the upcoming international break.



HEAD TO HEAD

Liverpool did the Premier League double over Leicester City last season, but The Foxes did beat them 2-0 here in the English League Cup. Leicester City had beaten Liverpool 3 times in a row at the King Power Stadium before their 2-3 home loss to them in the Premier League last season.
