Ingolstadt started this season surprisingly bad and are still winless after three rounds. After losing to Jahn Regensburg in the first round, they played two back-to-back scoring draws against Greuther Furth and Magdeburg. Despite being winless, Ingolstadt still managed to find the net in all of their three games so far, so their attack functioned well. Ingolstadt have a positive record against Erzgebirge Aue in their recent matches, losing just once in their last six duels. However, interesting fact is that Ingolstadt could not beat Erzgebirge Aue in any of their two games last season, drawing and losing once.



Erzgebirge Aue

Erzgebirge Aue are struggling at the beginning of this season, which was expected. Last season they managed to remain in 2.Bundesliga after playing relegation playoff matches, but this time they are likely to go down directly. Erzgebirge Aue lost against Union Berlin and Koln and drew against Magdeburg so far. Last weekend they conceded three goals against Koln and they were also nailed by Mainz in the DFB Cup. Obviously their defense is very weak and attack is not much better either, as they scored just one goal in their four competitive games so far.

Ingolstadt have a solid midfield and attack, but their defending was not best in their opening three games. However, considering Erzgebirge Aue`s overall strength, Ingolstadt should be able to get the job done in this match. In this game I would go with Ingolstadt to record their first victory of the season at good odds.
