KOBENHAVN

The goalless draw in Italy last week will have given the Kobenhavn fans plenty of confidence that their team can return to the Europa League Group Stage. They actually reached the Knock Out Rounds of the competition after Christmas last season so Kobenhavn have the belief they can win this tie, although no one will be taking anything for granted just yet. A strong start to the Danish top flight sees Kobenhavn lead the way domestically as they bid to win the title and return to the Champions League. They have used the momentum gained at home and taken it into the Europa League where Kobenhavn have beaten KuPs, Stjarnan and CSKA Sofia to make it through to the Play Off Round of the competition. The side have only lost 1 of their last 9 home Europa League games over the last two years which makes them a tough out for Atlanta here. Kobenhavn are unbeaten in 12 games in all competitions and they have won 9 of those to keep the positive vibes going at the club. Home form has been even better with 5 straight wins here secured by scoring at least twice in each match.



ATALANTA

It had been a long time since Atlanta had played in European competition before their run to the Europa League Last 32 last season and they are hoping to be back in the Group Stage at least this time around. The goalless draw at home in the First Leg is not the worst result in the world and Atlanta have already shown a poor home result is not going to prevent them from progressing through these Qualifiers. In the Second Qualifying Round Atalanta blew a 2-0 home First Leg lead against Sarajevo and had to settle for a 2-2 draw, but they won the Second Leg 0-8 away from home. Since then Atalanta made easy work of Hapoel Haifa, but this is clearly the toughest opponent they have faced this season and last season Atalanta won 1 of 4 away games in the Europa League. Atalanta have made a positive start to the 2018/19 season and showed they may finish higher up the Serie A table after drawing 3-3 in Roma, albeit in a game they did lead 1-3. The side have only lost 1 of their last 8 away games in all competitions and Atalanta have won half of those fixtures.
