INTRODUCTION
Super Sunday will see the clash between two teams who are currently in poor form. Both sides have lost their last two games coming into this match. Burnley also were eliminated from the Europa League last week while Manchester United lost to Tottenham at home by 3- 0.
BURNLEY
They lost their last two games to Manchester United by 2-0 and 1-0. However they did managed a draw in their last visit to Old Trafford and now they will be hoping to get something from this match on home ground where they have suffered two defeats against the Red Devils. In midweek they only managed a 1-1 draw with Olympiacos in the second leg of the playoffs of the Europa League and as a result they failed to progressed further into the group stage. However it is a learning experience for them as it is their first season in Europe and they could be forgiven as in the previous two rounds they eliminated the likes of Scottish Aberdeen and Turkish Basaksehir after extra time. Furthermore the matches in the Europa League had significantly taken its toll on them in the Premier League as they managed to win just one point from their opening three games. Now manager Dyche has to deal with the absence of goalkeeper Pope and midfielders Brady, Defourai and Gudmundsson through injuries.
MANCHESTER UNITED
It was a big blow to Manchester United to lose to Tottenham by 3-0 at Old Trafford last weekend. Before that they were beaten by Brighton 3-2 away from home. In the first round they did managed to beat Leicester 2-1 at Old Trafford. Now after two consecutive defeats, Mourinho's position is under scrutiny and he is under pressure to get the win over Burnley. There has been talks and rumours if Mourinho fails to get the win it could be his last game in charge of the side and former Real Madrid manager Zinedine Zidane could take over. So, no doubt that Mourinho will send his strongest side to the field and he cannot count on the likes of goalkeeper Romero and defenders Dalot, Rojo and Jones due to injuries.
PAST MEETINGS
Manchester United are unbeaten in their last seven matches with Burnley managing four wins and three draws
