INTRODUCTION

In the fourth round of La Liga this is one of the two derbies that will be played in the Basque between Athletic Bilbao and Real Madrid. Both teams are still unbeaten at the start of the season where Athletic Bilbao managed a draw and a win, while Real Madrid has managed three wins.



ATHLETIC BILBAO

Even though they are unbeaten in their first two matches they cannot be satisfied because they were the hosts on both occasions and they had good rivals so everyone expected them to collect maximum points. In the end they managed one win and one draw. They welcomed Leganes and it was Muniain who scored the winner for a 2-1 win. In their second match they welcomed newcomers Huesca and they took a 2-0 lead in the match. However they failed to keep the lead and they ended the match with just a point as they finished 2-2. Thus in both matches they scored two goals. However in both games they failed to keep a clean sheet as well. As for the team news, the likes of goalkeeper Herrerin, center-back I.Martinez and striker Aduriz have recovered from their injuries and will start the match.



REAL MADRID

Real Madrid started their season as expected and there were no real surprises. However before the start of La Liga they lost to Atletico Madrid in the European Super Cup, but that did not affected their confidence. They managed to win their first three matches against sides who were not the same level as they are. Last season they dropped points against a team of similar strength. This time however tbhey beat Getafe with only half a strength team. In their next match against Girona, they conceded the first goal, but then they managed to scored four goals to win the match. In their next match against Leganes at home they had the same problem as they were 1-1 by halftime. Then they stepped up a gear and won the match by 4-1 in the end, scoring three goals in the second half. As for the team news, they do not have any injury concerns, while the likes of Bale, Benzema and Asensio are inngreat form and their new goalkeeper Courtois also had his debut.
